Welcome to my website!

I”m not currently taking on new students, as my schedule has tightened and my travels increase as spring and summer arrive. Sorry about that! 

I do have a public gig coming up. I’ve put together a stellar band to play on California Ave in Palo Alto at 6pm on Thursday, April 18th. Among others, we’ll have my son Sullivan on guitar and Scott Gates on mandolin. We’re just playing on the street along with several other bands – it’s part of a monthly thing happening all spring/summer and it’s free!

I’m happy to say that I’m now selling all eleven of my books in PDF form. There are now four Primer books, with a traditional bluegrass focus, all carefully thought out for progressive learning in logical and systematic manner. 

There’s lots of ways to pay for lessons. My favorites? Venmo: (@Jack-Tuttle-2). Apple Pay Cash, Zelle and Google Wallet. PayPal seems to have removed the option to “send to a friend” which eliminates the fees,  so that’s falling out of favor with me.
