Welcome to my site!

My next round of classes are now posted here. They'll start up March 19th and 20th. Inlcuded is a low level Banjo Class that starts where the Beginning Banjo class left off. But if you have some string instrument skill, you could probably fit in

I'll be teaching bluegrass guitar soloing at the CBA Music Camp in June. Those wanting to sign up for camp should do it soon as many classes fill up right way. Register here.

You can hear Blue Summit (with AJ Lee and Sullivan Tuttle) at a concert in San Jose Saturday night. Details here.

I've been doing a few Skype lessons, and it's going pretty well, so if anyone's interested in trying that, just email me about it.

What's On My Site

The site is mainly meant to be a resource for my current students in the South San Francisco Bay Area. However, anyone who is learning to play should find something of interest.

Most of the navigation buttons lead to obvious content. Some of things you will find on my website include:

  • Schedule a Lesson lets you schedule a one-time lesson, or reschedule a missed lesson.
  • About Lessons has all the basic information about taking lessons from me including when, where, how much and how to schedule a lesson.
  • Helpful Tips is an entry point for all help for each instrument and a link to the top ten things that you can do to improve your playing. The top ten includes tips for more effective practice.
  • Explore some of the links down the left side to learn more about bluegrass .
